If you haven't submitted, but you'd like to, there are two ways of going about it:
- If your work is finished, and you're happy with it, email it as a word or text doc. to dotterelpress@gmail.com;
- If it's not yet ready, but you want to submit and you're sure it'll be done by September, please email a brief outline (subject, style, approximate number of words etc.) to dotterelpress@gmail.com
It's as simple as that.
And if anyone's planning to submit a full-length piece of writing or a poetry collection to Dotterel Press, please have a look at the Dotterel Press website where our submissions guidelines can be found.
As desperately as I would love to contribute, I feel wrung dry in the creative writing stakes. Not even a lovely poem or short story in me at the moment, I'm afraid. Even my blog has taken a beating these past months in terms of truly great writing, as it's all being channelled into my manuscript. And at something like 140,000 (unedited) words so far, I highly doubt you'd have room for what I would consider my best writing in your anthology ;)
ReplyDeleteOk, but how about submitting a short extract as a kind of taster? We're hoping the book will showcase the talents of a lot of previously unpublished writers and intend sending copies to agents, editors etc.
